Purpose: To assist patients that are financially indigent
Scope: All eligible patients
Policy: West Coast Endoscopy Center is committed to providing services to all patients. Charity care applies to charges for healthcare services to patients meeting financial criteria set by the HHS poverty guidelines. Approval of charity care is at the discretion of the facility and is made on a case by case basis. The patient will be required to complete a financial disclosure form upon requesting charity care and then a determination of said charity will be offered. If the charity amount does not reduce the patient’s financial responsibility to zero, a statement will be sent to the patient for the remaining balance.
